Product Description

1. Product Overview

The Fiber Access Terminal Closure (also called Fiber Access Terminal Box / FTB) is a compact fiber management unit widely used in FTTx cabling systems. It serves as the connection hub between trunk optical cables and passive optical splitters, integrating fiber splicing, cable splitting, fiber distribution, cable fixation and fiber storage functions. It provides stable mechanical protection and standardized fiber management for FTTH optical access networks, supporting up to 24 subscriber access ports.

The enclosure consists of outer housing, internal structural components (support frame, fiber storage tray, cable fixing fixtures) and fiber joint protection accessories. It features reliable cable clamping, convenient fusion splicing operation and excellent fiber mechanical protection performance.

8. Installation Instructions

8.1 Wall-mounted Installation

1. Drill four mounting holes on the wall according to the enclosure dimension layout

2. Install Φ7.5×40 expansion bolts into pre-drilled holes

3. Align the box mounting holes with expansion bolts and fasten tightly with matching bolts

8.2 Pole-mounted Installation

1. Fix one set of pole mounting rings on the telecom utility pole

2. Secure the enclosure onto the mounting rings and lock all fasteners
