Product Description
This field assembly fast connector is specially designed for FTTH and FTTX network deployment. Adopting V-groove mechanical splice technology, it requires no epoxy glue or on-site end-face polishing, and no fiber fusion splicing. With simple hand tools, field termination can be completed within 2 minutes. The product features easy operation, stable optical performance and strong environmental adaptability, which effectively reduces on-site connection failure rate caused by manual errors and cuts construction time and overall costs.
It is widely applicable to indoor optical wiring of buildings, LAN, CCTV, CATV systems and various optical access networks, and also serves for emergency maintenance and cable replacement of fiber optic communication systems. The product series covers multiple connector types including SC, LC and FC, compatible with single-mode and multi-mode fibers of different specifications.
2. Working Principle
The connector relies on precision molded plastic V-groove to realize accurate alignment of bare fibers. Matching fluid is used to optimize optical coupling between embedded fiber and inserted fiber. The integrated ceramic ferrule ensures stable positioning of fiber cores, realizing reliable mechanical connection and low-loss optical transmission without epoxy fixation or end-face polishing.
3. Main Features
1. Epoxy-free and on-site polishing-free design, realizing rapid fiber termination
2. Precision mechanical alignment structure ensures low insertion loss and excellent overall optical performance
3. Streamlined component structure, simple assembly and no professional training required
4. Adaptable to complex construction environments such as utility poles and manholes, no special working space needed
5. Effectively lower the on-site connection defect rate caused by human operation errors
6. Passive structure, no power supply required during installation
7. Mature V-groove mechanical alignment technology, high stability and long service life
4. Applicable Fiber & Cable
1. Compatible fiber: 250μm ~ 900μm coated fiber; single-mode fiber, multi-mode 62.5/125μm and multi-mode 50/125μm
2. Applicable cable: 2.0mm/3.0mm simplex optical cable, 2×3 FTTH drop cable
3. Ferrule type: Single-mode version supports UPC and APC polishing types
5. Installation Tools & Operation Steps
5.1 Required Tools
Only conventional fiber processing tools are needed: fiber stripper, fiber cleaning wipes and fiber cleaver. No fusion splicer or power supply is required.
5.2 Operation Steps
1. Strip the outer buffer layer of the optical cable;
2. Cleave the bare fiber with a fiber cleaver;
3. Clean the fiber surface thoroughly with wipes;
4. Insert the processed fiber into the fast connector and fix it;
5. Complete the whole termination work within several minutes.
